What We Do
Serving the Jewish community at Western Michigan University is our main goal. On a biweekly basis Hillel provides Shabbat dinners that bring together the student community with a special meal and inviting atmosphere. We are actively involved on campus and represent the Jewish student population and Israel at many cultural events.
Who Are We
With many talented and dedicated students, the WMU Hillel is nearly entirely led and organized by students. This gives the opportunity for students to get involved with Hillel in so many fashions. Many take the steps to help plan our events, this helps to grow a stronger community, experienced leaders, and can be a lot of fun.
This group of students we like to call the Lead Team and consists of a cross section of students, all from different majors, ages, religious and cultural connections to Judaism, and past leadership experience. If you would like to help and be a part of the Lead Team, let us know we would be happy to have you. Anyone can be a part of the Lead Team.
Through mentorship and leadership development, students have a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills. While at the same time having fun with friends and strengthening the campus community.
